Happy September plus Does anyone wonder about the other woman involved?

May this new month bring to us blessings immeasurable and God’s divine protection in Jesus Name, Amen.

So just as some people have said though I’m not sure I like the way they are going about it, I really do want the whole Ese Walters case to just end. Instead of church members [if they are] going to blogs to trash the lady, I feel they should rather hold their peace and pray for their pastor because whether or not Ese’s story is true, the man of God needs prayers now more than anything.

The ridiculous jokes are just too crazy. I read an ‘interview’ on Myne’s blog. Read it here. Sad and totally unnecessary. I can’t help but wonder how Pastor Biodun’s wife feels about all this. I mean walking in her shoes at this time cannot be easy. Take away the whole church thingy; I asked myself these questions: if my husband makes the stupid decision to cheat on me [God abeg o!] in as much as I would want him to feel the pain I feel for being betrayed in that way and how I would want him to suffer a little [ok not a little], would I want it to be the talk about town? Would I want it to be on every blog and every magazine and newspaper with the tag ‘sizzling’? Would I want to look at people’s faces and wonder what they think of me? Why the man I married decided to leave our matrimonial bed and seek sexual pleasures outside our bedroom? People are going to wonder if I am good in bed. Maybe I don’t give him enough action or his ‘kind of action’. How painfully embarrassing!

No, I don’t think any woman would want to share the news of her husband’s infidelity with a whole nation especially if he is a man of God. Hilary Clinton and a number of other women had to go through this. But their husbands weren’t men who preached against stuff like that to the world.

I’m not saying Ese was wrong for doing this because only God knows her state of mind when she did what she did. It probably seemed right to her at the time so who am I to judge? In fact, I am not writing this to judge anyone. I just feel for the other woman in the story. In ordinary circumstances, people would have blamed his wife for not being able to ‘keep her husband’. Only a few people are going to recognize that the man has a problem and should seek help. Oh yeah and a large number of people are going to say ‘She knew she was marrying a womanizer. So this shouldn’t shock her’

So for her sake, I wish this whole saga ends. No more talks. No more Facebook account opened to say they have evidence. No more anonymous blog comments with even more graphic details. No more.

May God help us all. Have a fantastic week ahead.

  2. Nope it should be talked about and talked about some more maybe these pastors and like behaved married men will learn a few lessons. As for the wife who tells you she hasn't known all along when he was suspended for previous misdeeds didn't she know? Of course she knows but like the good African wife that she is she looks the other way. I don't feel sorry for her at all.

    1. Well, we can't say we know what is going on in the house now can we? Maybe she talks, cries, screams and even threatens him because of it. But she keeps forgiving him because well, she is a Christian and his wife. This can't be easy at all and it's also complicated. Her choices were coming out to tell the world herself and a divorce; which of them is easy? I don't know the woman but I know this is hard.

  3. The end is near!!! Nigerian pastors have acquired a taste for married women all in the name of laying hands and receiving anointing, woe betide anyone who wants "special prayers" with my wife.mssshew nonsense

  4. Well, Lily yes the wife suffers. The kids too. But they have to realise its not their fault that their father/husband chose to desecrate his vows. She also has a choice - to stay or leave. Since she has chosen to stay, then she will have to go with the flow.
There are hurt wives and daughters who have been used. How about them?

    1. Yes true. The point here is that the wife must be going through hell as we speak. And I wish there was a simpler way to tackle this. Unfortunately there isn't. Even leaving is just as hard as staying because a group of people are still going to judge her for leaving her husband when he needed her the most. It's just a crazy situation especially for a her being the 'mother in the Lord' of the members of the church.

  5. Ginger has just echoed my views. We as a nation need to stop this "sweep everything under the carpet" mentality THEN maybe the country can truly begin to progress. I feel for the wife, but I also feel for the voiceless hurt women who cannot come out to talk about men of God abusing their authority, because of stigmatization. So talk we must, till we begin to hold people in leadership positions to a higher standard of accountability, till Pastor B is seen to be genuinely atoning and stepping away from the pulpit to deal with this.

    1. Oh it's out there already. We all know what went down. Yeah, God knows this kind of stuff going on in churches need to stop which is why this had to happen. I just feel very sorry for this woman. Dealing with your husband's infidelity and having it on everybody's lips amongst other things can't be easy.
